Privacy Policy

Test version · Effective date: 7 September 2026

Test publication: this project is currently in a pre-launch testing phase. The controller details shown as dotted fields will be completed before the public campaign and active promotion begin.

1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is ……………………………………………………, with an address at …………………………………………………….

Privacy enquiries and requests may be sent to: …………………………………………………….

2. Data we collect

Casting application. We collect the information entered in the casting form: first or chosen name, age, country, email address, your description of “What is your X?”, your reason for applying, and an optional social-profile URL. We also record the date, time and source page of the submission.

Please do not send medical records, identity documents or other sensitive personal data in the initial application. If a later casting stage requires additional information, we will provide a separate notice and request any additional consent required by law.

Project updates. If you separately opt in to updates, we collect your email address, consent record, and the date, time and source page of the signup.

Technical data. The hosting environment may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, including IP address, device/browser information, requested URLs, timestamps and security logs.

3. Why we use the data

We use casting data to receive, review and manage applications, contact potential participants and organise the casting process. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible participation agreement and, where applicable, our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the casting process.

We send project news, casting updates and releases only when you have given separate consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

We process necessary technical and security data for our legitimate interests in operating, maintaining and protecting the website and forms.

4. Who may receive the data

Access is limited to authorised members of the BECOME X project team and service providers that support hosting, website administration, email delivery, security and casting operations. Providers may process data only for the relevant service and under appropriate data-protection terms. We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers

If a service provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we will use a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards where required.

6. Retention

  • Casting applications: up to 24 months after submission, unless the application moves into a further production or contractual process, or longer retention is required for legal claims.
  • Project-update subscriptions: until consent is withdrawn or the list is permanently closed, followed by a limited suppression record where needed to respect the opt-out.
  • Technical and security logs: up to 90 days, unless a security incident requires longer retention.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

To exercise your rights, contact ……………………………………………………. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority. If the controller is established in Poland, the supervisory authority is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

8. Required and optional information

Fields marked as required are necessary to submit a casting application or join the update list. Optional fields may be left blank. Casting and marketing choices are separate: submitting an application does not automatically subscribe you to updates.

9. Automated decisions

We do not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Casting decisions are made or reviewed by people.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when the website, casting process, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will be published on this page.
